Understanding the Category Codes

Each category is assigned a unique alphanumeric code (e.g., GA001, SC006, SA005). These codes are not arbitrary; they follow a logical structure that helps in identification and database management:

  1. First Letter: Usually indicates the general section (e.g., G for Goods, S for Services, C is often implied within a service or construction code). However, some codes start with a letter related to the primary category (e.g., F for Fire Fighting in FG001).

  2. Middle Letters/Numbers: These typically denote the specific group or sub-section (e.g., A for Agricultural, C for Communication or Catering/Cleaning, M for Medical/Mining).

  3. Last Numbers: A sequential identifier within the specific group.
