What is TaRMS?
- TaRMS stands for Tax and Revenue Management System.
- It’s a recently launched (October 2023) online platform by the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) to automate and simplify tax processes for both taxpayers and ZIMRA officials.
- It replaces the older SAP TRM system.
Key Features:
- Self-Service Portal (SSP): This online portal allows taxpayers to register, file returns, make payments, manage accounts, and access various tax services independently.
- Integrated System: TaRMS integrates with banks, eliminating the need for bank advice notes and simplifying payments.
- Improved Efficiency: Aims to streamline tax administration, reduce processing times, and enhance transparency.
- Accessibility: Accessible on various browsers like Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge.

Taxpayer Registration
With the TaRMS you can register as an individual or company with easy and get a Tax Identity Number (TIN).
Tax Returns Processing.
Tax payers are able to submit the following returns
- Income tax returns (QPD’s + ITF12C)
- PAYE
- Withholding Taxes
- CGT1
Tax Payments
Payment of tax through single account.
Refunds
Apply for the refunds using the platform.
Taxpayer Accounting
The functionality is intended for registration of taxpayers’ tax obligations, advance payments mandatory amounts and other debit and credit amounts, for the calculation of penalties, interests, as well as for repayment of obligations and revenue accounting.
