Did you know that issuing Tax Certificates (Form P6) is a mandatory obligation for employers in Zimbabwe? This requirement is enshrined in Paragraph 14 of the Thirteenth Schedule of the Income Tax Act (Chapter 23:06), making it a critical aspect of tax compliance for both employers and employees.
The Form P6 is essentially a detailed summary that verifies the income earned by an employee and the Pay-As-You-Earn (P.A.Y.E.) tax that was deducted and remitted to the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA).
